Save a project

You can save an audio, a data or a video project in Brasero for editing or burning later.

  1. Create the project and add the files you wish to use to the project.

  2. Click Project ▸ Save to save the project.

  3. Enter the name you wish to save the project under, then click Save to save the project.

There are a number of ways which can be used for opening a saved Brasero project by:

  • selecting it from the list on the start page, under Recent projects

  • clicking Project ▸ Recent Projects

  • clicking Project ▸ Open and selecting the project

  • opening the project from a file browser

If Brasero is already running, opening the project from a file browser will cause a second instance of Brasero to start and will cause both instances to crash. See GNOME bug 644011 for more information.

If you open a saved project, Brasero will treat it as a new project: if you want to save an updated version of the project, it will ask you to enter a name for it, at this point you can overwrite the old version or save it as a new project by entering a different file name.
