Flickr is a photo album service that lets you share pictures with people online. You can upload photos to Flickr directly from the image viewer.
In order to be able to use the Flickr Uploader, you will need to install the Postr application using your Linux distribution's package manager. Once it is installed, you can upload photos to Flickr:
The first time you upload a photo, the Flickr Uploader will ask you to log into Flickr. The website will ask you to authorize Postr to access your account.
Back in the image viewer, click Image ▸ Open With ▸ Flickr Uploader.
Click Upload.
You can add a shortcut button for uploading pictures to Flickr.
To do this, make sure that eog-plugins is installed. Then, click Edit ▸ Preferences, go to the Plugins tab and check Upload to Flickr.
This will give you a convenient Tools ▸ Upload to Flickr menu item.
