The following section describes how to modify the display characteristics of the cursor.

4.3.1.2.1. Stopping the Cursor from Blinking

To stop the cursor from blinking in text boxes and other areas, perform the following steps:

Choose System ▸ Preferences ▸ Keyboard to start the Keyboard preference tool.
In the Keyboard tabbed section, deselect the Cursor blinks in text boxes and fields option.
