The Run button opens the Run Application dialog, which allows you to start an application by choosing it from a list.

To add a Run button to a panel, right-click on any vacant space on the panel. Choose Add to Panel, then choose Run Application from the Add to Panel dialog. See Section 4.3.2 ― Adding an Object to a Panel for more on this.

To open the Run Application dialog, click on the Run button.
